Allen & Heath Xone 4D

Today i read the news of a new Allen & Heath mixer, the Xone 4D.
This one aparantly is Tractor Scratch certified, which allows direct connection without the
Native instruments Audio unit.

That's good news, it can also be used with ableton live which i also use a lot.
This one is on the short list for my new mixer. Next to the Ecler (see previous post)

Derrick May - The Innovator

Ecler EVO5

I have found a nice new DJ mixer for my home setup, the Ecler EVO5. It comes with a built in soundcard and is certified for Traktor Scratch.
Which allows me to integrate my digital stuff and my good old vinyl collection.

I already have a version of traktor so i am now looking into the update options to get up too speed with the timecode functions.
If that goes well i will be adding an Ecler EVO5 to the setup and the latest version of Traktor. Let's see what happens :-)

A nice picture of the Ecler EVO5

Just for kicks

I recently watched a movie about sneakers, well the history of the sneaker as a hip-hop icon, collecter's item and so on.
It's called Just for Kicks and shows how street culture can evolve into a billion dollar business.

Fun to watch how far people will go for a pair of sneakers.
