Robin S - Show me Love

A new remix is out for some time now, for me the original is far better. To my surprise a lot of people don't know the original.
Or have forgotten about it. Well as usual youtube has the answer. I think.... A lot of versions are floating around ;-)

So if I am incorrect please contact me.

New setup

Well ok, i admit it i am a bit of a nerd and i like all the toys out there, last couple of years i sold all my hardware due to my limited time.
I needed to get in deep with my tools. So i stripped my setup down to Reason, live and reaktor.

Which gives me all the sonic possibilities you can imagine. Using my limited time getting to know all this software better.
(I used too only scratch the surface) It was a learning phase for me. Useful because i didn't get distracted by all the nice knobs.

Lately i am starting to miss my hardware. So i am thinking about adding some hardware to my software setup again.

Only question is what will it be ?

Keep you all posted ! :-)

Finishing a track

Now that i am spending more time making music, or noise depending what your perspective is, I find it hard to finish a track or song if you like.
I used to get lost just making short loops and sounds. Now i create something that you might call a song.

Then i have a lot of difficulty getting to a point where i think the song is finished. I never seem to be happy with the result.
Somehow I always feel it's no good. I always keep polishing, editing and so on.

How do i reach the point where i can say, ok this track is finished.

Any tips ?

Cool tune :-)

Music

Lately I started to switch my Mac Mini on more frequently , summer is out and the rain is coming in.
So I am spending less time outside and more time inside. My music recording hobby has always been in conflict
with the time available. Mostly i spend less than 2 hours a week making music.

It's something i enjoy very much and would love to do more often. So what i have done is clear some stuff from my
schedule and replace it with some studio time.

I still have my all digital setup which suits me fine. Only sometimes i would like to get away from the computer a
bit more. So i am considering some hardware, one synth and a sequencer/sampler.

Maybe an Akai mpc 1000 or 2000xl with cardreader and an analog synth. If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know :-)

Which should be enough to lay the basics of a track.

I am very happy the inspiration is back , because that was gone for quite some time.
