Gearhunt - MPC2000XL

At the moment my set-up is mostly software based. Which has a lot of great advantages. Now that I spend more time making music I need to get away from the computer screen.
So I started to look for an alternative, an MPC was one of the machines that has been on the wish list for some time now.
First I was looking at the newer models , but I would like to get an older model , the MPC 2000 XL. Preferably with a card reader.
Nice to sample and sequence without staring at a computer screen.
So the search starts now.
Purpose maker by Jeff Mills

Today I watched the DVD with Purpose maker mix on it. A very cool mix made with 3 decks and a mixer.Maybe I posted this earlier on my site but who cares. It's an amazing DVD , so go get it.
Intensive training

Well, last week has seen a lot of intensive training, which was good. Did some cross training on the race bike as well.
Next week is going to be an easy week, just a few relaxed runs and some biking.
Within a few weeks I am going to train with a few people again. Makes it all a bit more fun
Training last week

Thursday it was time for a fast training, 5 KM an average of 4,12. Pretty good. Then on Sunday it was time for a long distance training, 20 KM with an average of 5:32.
Which was a bit too fast, it was supposed be around 6 minutes per KM. It was a while ago.
Next time I'll have to keep the tempo in check.
Windows 7 beta installtion progress

Finished the installation of Windows 7 Beta this weekend. I used miscrosoft Virtual PCfor it. Simply because if something might go wrong it's easy to start over.
So far everything runs very smooth, even if it's just a Virtual PC. I skipped Vista
altogether so most of the features will be new for me.
Log

Ok I need to keep a log with all the details of my training activity. Since I have this weblog it just seems a good idea to drop the notes here.
Recapping the last few weeks, Training got better and better. Even in the current weather
conditions. (I'm more of a cold weather guy)
Only downside was the fact that on Wednesday I got a heavy cold. So that put a hold on all
of the planned training sessions. This weekend I recovered pretty good.
Yesterday I ran 5 KM, average time per KM 4 Min 37. It was a good training.
Tonight I am going for about 10 KM. Ow and I need to install the software for my watch again,
so I can upload all the training info to my computer again.
